Coal Dust Art and Writing
Fourth 30 Minute Entry
Date Finished: November 16, 2024
This is probably the worst one to date. Before I started this, I had a different idea in mind, and well, I should have stuck with the original idea. The trash can of the trash bot would have been a bit more streamlined in the body, if not a part of the body, as well as a couple other things. I decided to try to do an office type surrounding where the bot was simply doing work. However, even with the timer going off, the whole thing felt rushed. I consider this one to be a failure. A really bad failure. Despite it looking like it was something that was done in ten to fifteen minutes, it unfortunately did take a whole half hour.
So with that said, what can I learn about this failure? For starters, it's better to have an unfinished artwork that looks good than to rush it and for the quality to suffer. I also spread myself a bit thin by doing an office surrounding and a bot. I also suffered a bit of indecisiveness when it came to the board. A better approach would have been to focus on the bot. If the office enviroment was a must, I would have done a different approach to it as well. One thing I do realize is that with this one and the one with the second entry, a reference was not used. Having a reference really sped things up because I didn't have to play a guessing game or anything like that. I can always refer to the reference and make changes I'd like.
